The Pavilion Kuala Lumpur is the latest of a new trend of shopping experience in Kuala Lumpur. Situated right at the heart of KL, the beginning of the Bukit Bintang stretch, its in the prime tourist and shopper location.
I went there on Saturday with Winnie and little Celeste after having been there the day before and was amazed with what I saw. Call me naive but the place gave me the reminiscence of a the styling of Singapore high street. I guess it must be the wide pedestrian walkway (Hopefully, this trend catches on with other new renovations or developments), as well as the grand entrance to the complex.
It's a pretty site even inside. There were the grand italian steps leading down to the concourse area. Would make an excellent seating and vantage point for guests watching a show in the concourse area. Somehow, I think the designers must have envisioned the same usage for the steps. Just that there is no fountain to complete the whole picture. :-)
I loved the wide corridors as well as the high ceiling which breaks away from the standard shopping complex designs. Everything just seems more upmarket here, despite the relatively broad mix of shops.
