June's Photography Article : Colours in Photography (S&P Magazine)

My article on photography next month talks about colours in photography and the importance of colours which we usually take for granted or overlook as we focus on other areas of photography.

Pick it up from the shelves and have fun reading!

New House

Hey, it has certainly been a while, right? You guys know how it is. Coming and going... Well, let's talk about now! A new house is on the way. Renovations for our home just started yesterday. Talk about doing things last minute. We applied for our electricity and water on Monday. A bunch of bricks, a pile of sand and stones got delivered yesterday. Today, the electricity was installed and turned on, and all the cornices for my home was delivered. *sigh* At least it's finally coming together!

What you see on the right is the front of the house. That's as much as I'll put for now. Not to spoil the surprise lah... :-)

At the F1 Race!!!

What a day! Hot as hell... I was sweating beads (while trying to look cool). Good outing with the boss and 2 of my colleagues. We got excellent seats for the races, at the back grandstand, which is much better considering we got to see corners and straights. I forgot to bring earplugs so the sound was deafening. Stuffed tissues in my ear. But, I got great shots! That's what's important.

Coincidently, I was at the same race a year ago but with my ex-boss and also two of my colleagues. Mppph....

HENNESSY VSOP Discover Confession of Pain

I am so glad when a photography session turns out as good as it has this time. Though this was a small job, the condition of the place gave well to some interesting compositions. I've also had the opportunity to try out some dynamic lighting and focusing. Without a doubt, I love the final mix of colours.

My Profile, Picture and Technique in UK published photography book

Woah... so happy!!!

On Tuesday, I went to the local Post Office Package handling division to pick up my package. I had an inkling of a feeling what it was gonna be so I very rajin to go all the way to Jalan Chan Sow Lin in Kuala Lumpur to pick it up during lunch time.

And lo and behold... a pack all the way from UK.

Got back to my office and like a little boy opening up a Christmas present, I extracted the contents of the package.

3 copies of "Guide to Extreme Lighting Conditions in Digital Photography" by Duncan Evans.

The write up was quite cool. Although I thought they were just going to use my picture, so it was interesting that they quoted me and the technique I used word for word.

Happy days!

Trip to Bukit Tinggi Resort

Drove up to Bukit Tinggi on Saturday morning. Something that Winnie had planned for us since two months ago. It was an enjoyable trip as the last I had been there was during the Valentine of 2004 with Winnie before Celeste was born.

We did book a two room suite at the Colmar Tropicale, the French quarters but then our initial plan of having my bro and sis tag along did not realise as they were out of town. So, Sly and his friend Mayat (don't ask hehehe...).. tagged along.

Little Celeste had so much fun. I think this trip allowed her the most interaction she ever had with animals. She got to pet rabbits, horses, doggy, swans and fishes...
